Proprietary AI coworkers tie you to one provider, one price, and someone else’s view of what your tools should be allowed to do. Work With Me is a native desktop app that gives you a persistent agent working alongside you, and lets you pick the model — Claude, GPT, Gemini, or something running locally under Ollama — from a dropdown, mid-session.
It speaks Model Context Protocol, so any MCP tool server plugs in. It can spawn subagents and run independent tasks in parallel. Sessions persist and can be resumed, browsed, or archived by project. Everything runs on your machine: no cloud sync, no telemetry.
Built on the open pi-agent ecosystem and MIT licensed. Alpha, with the rough edges that implies.
