Enterprise planning software is expensive, closed, and slow to change. I spent a decade administering the commercial versions — architecting the models, integrating the data, and explaining to finance teams why the thing they wanted would take two quarters. planWell is what I think the same problem looks like when you start over.

Import actuals from a pasted CSV in either long or wide shape. Model named scenarios and lock versions for an audit trail. Define your own input and calculated variables with formulas, overridden per department and per month, inheriting down the department tree. Compare any two scenarios side by side. Ask an AI analyst questions against the live forecast rather than against a stale export.

It runs self-hosted on SQLite. No cluster, no seat licences, no implementation partner.
